Hi All,
Hi,
How can I get info about mounted volume/disk is writable or read-only?
I used 'properties of disk 3' in a Finder tell block to get the
following information:
{
class:disk,
name:"script",
index:3,
displayed name:"script",
name extension:"",
extension hidden:false,
container:folder "akw",
disk:disk "script",
position:{
-1,
-1
},
bounds:{
-33,
-33,
31,
31
},
kind:"Volume",
label index:0,
locked:false,
description:missing value,
comment:"",
size:2.7615232E+7,
physical size:2.7615232E+7,
creation date:date "Saturday, September 18, 2004 9:13:06 PM",
modification date:date "Thursday, September 30, 2004 5:05:13 PM",
icon:missing value,
URL:"file://localhost/Volumes/script/",
owner:"akw",
group:"unknown",
owner privileges:read write,
group privileges:read only,
everyones privileges:read only,
container window:container window of disk "script",
capacity:6.8153344E+8,
free space:6.53918208E+8,
ejectable:true,
startup:false,
format:Mac OS Extended format,
journaling enabled:true,
local volume:true,
ignore privileges:true
}
As you can see, you can determine the owner, group, permissions, free
space, file system format, etc. Does this give you what you need?
What are you trying to do?
