help w/ iCal view calendar

  • Subject: help w/ iCal view calendar

I'm sure the answer is simple but until I get a better handle on the language and how to use the dictionary, I'm hoping some one might help me with a script to show a calendar on a given date.
I'd like to have a date
-- sample date: "Friday, October 8, 2004 12:00:00 AM"
and pass that to iCal and have it display that day.

The dictionary says:
view calendar: Show calendar on the given date
view calendar reference -- the object for the command
at date -- the date to be displayed

and...
Get properties written as follows gets properties:
get properties of calendar document whose title is "Work"

but when I try the following it fails:
view calendar whose document title is "Work"
I get an error

This does not work either:
view calendar whose title is "Work"

TIA
