Lists that are composed of "read only" references.

    tell application "ColorSyncScripting"
        set var to profile folder whose name contains "Syn"
    end tell

    -->
    Can't get profile folder of application "ColorSyncScripting" whose name
    contains "Syn". Access not allowed.

All you can get is a reference - you can't ask the reference generate
answers to other questions.
