"For dummies":
- AppleScript for Absolute Starters:
<http://www.applescriptsourcebook.com/tips/AS4AS.html>
- This list: if you ask simple, you'll be answered simple. If you ask
expert, you'll be answered expert.
- MacScripter.net BBS: <http://bbs.applescript.net/>
"Semi-dummies":
- AppleScript Language Guide (a bit outdated, but important concepts are
still the same):
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/AppleScript/Conceptual/AppleScript
LangGuide/AppleScriptLanguageGuide.pdf>
- MacScripter FAQ: <http://www.macscripter.net/faq/>
Books:
AppleScript: The Definitive Guide, by Matt Neuburg:
<http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596005571/bbsapplescrine0e>
AppleScript in a Nutshell, by Bruce W. Perry:
<http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1565928415/bbsapplescrine0e>
I started learning applescript because I needed a way to automate some tasks
in Quark (some years ago), so I looked for specific info about Quark and I
found Sal Soghoian's site, this list, Quark's applescript forum and blah.
So, if you are interested in a particular field, there are lots of
interesting resources appart from the best known ones...
