While this may still seem blasphemous to some, OS9 sucks eggs. OSX is so much better, just for crash stability alone. Toss in the new apps it can run, the old apps it can run in Classic, and the lack of rebooting, and you've got a winner.
Bite the bullet and ditch OS9. I mean heck, even Walter's gotten off of 6.0.4 and moved to X.
Plus then you can run InDesign CS and the up and coming new version that I'm working on. You'll be much happier without having to deal with Quark.
As for the workflow disruption, it's coming. Get it over with so that you can move on. CS also improves the workflow, especially if you make use of PDFs for the various proofs.
Also, moving to X is a fine excuse to get a new faster machine. ;)
