OK, I've been deleting these, but being at home and cuddled up to a beer... here's the counter-intuitive question that my quantum-mechanics prof asked us 25 years ago...


Q: When is the most likely time for a random event to occur?
A: immediately
(logic: the soonest it can happen is right away, the longest is quite a while, the average needs to be six [in this case] so the number of rolls required to roll any given number should be 'once' quite often.)
