This is pretty basic algebra, just put a variable in the place of the unknown and then solve the equation:

70% times what number equals 100%

70 x A = 100 (70 x A) / 70 = 100 / 70 1 x A = 100 / 70 A = 100 / 70 A = ...well, do the math :-)

The rest of them are all done this way.

Hello,

I have some percentages that I need to get back to the 100.

Example:

70% times what number equals 100%?

.7 times what number eauals 1.0?

140% times what number equals 100%?

The percentages can be any number.

Any help, I already looked to online math sites?

Thanks,

Jason Bourque
