This version of Mailman does that. (With some list setups, it stuffs it
into the From: header.) It has caused me to make the "Terse description" of
the list, which also shows up in the list's web page from which one can
subscribe, more terse for several of our lists. I haven't bothered to look
at the Mailman code to see what can be done.
I don't see the verbose form in my mail client on this list (short of
displaying message source), so it's not a problem for me.
I also plan to continue posting script snippets using "paste as plain text"
so as not to impose my colors on others:
