I've been receiving mail from this list as plain text. I have

Annoying, Ain't it?
Mailman doesn't try to put a list footer inside an HTML body, so you
send up
with a multipart message, with the footer in plain text. I don't know
whether Mailman is removing the plain text alternative of the original
body,
or the sender isn't sending one.
My view is this (Baxter's Email Law number 1): if a message is hard to
read, throw it away. There are enough messages out there.
I'm considering setting up a filter to send any e-mail that doesn't
have a plain-text alternative to a "holding" area. From there they
will probably just get thrown out but oh well...
