Problem might be that the shortcut is really ctrl-opt-cmd-* at least for me anyway, using the "8" on the numpad doesn't work but the "*" does... and shift-8 on the main keyboard equals *

It DOES work here OMM. I think you also need to have "Turn on full Keyboard
access" in Keyboard & Mouse/Keyboard Shortcut prefs (in System prefs). Try
that, Gnarlie.
