I've been using AppleScripts in my FMP databases for a good long time, and have gotten fairly adept in developing a script in Script Editor and modifying it to get spit out by a calculated field. Never saw any problems doing this before.

But yesterday I wrote a script that would send a remote Apple Event for the first time. Result: FMP dies instantly, and the event is not sent.

Syntax for the script is:

tell application "EyeTV" of machine "eppc://othermac.local"

and it works fine in Script Editor. Other calculated AppleScripts in the same database work fine. Any ideas what's going on here?
