Thank you again.
OK, I just downloaded ResFool. In "Template View" of plst 0 in Entourage
2004 there are huge number of XML key/value pairs, including both these two:
<key>CFBundleSignature</key>
<string>OPIM</string>
<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
<string>com.microsoft.Entourage</string>
Anyone want to venture a reason as to why application file id can find the
latter but not the former? Of course my copy of Entourage X has exactly the
same key/value pairs, so it's something else in teh file system somewhere
which would normally find the most recent file with these resources, but is
now only finding the CFBundleIdentifier and not the CFBundleSignature - for
any version of Entourage. This doesn't seme very reliable. It woudl still be
nice to know where it does its stuff and how to fix it.
