I'm new to Applescript and am trying the Applescript described in the book "Mac OSX Panther Hacks" that searches Amazon for a wish list for each person in your address book. Besides having a typo, the script crashes when I run it.

I tried Googling on this hack and found one or two inquiries about the typo but no answers. I have also tried writing the authors of the book with no response.

So, first, does anybody have a working version of this Applescript?
Second, when it crashes, it appears to crash on the line

  set beginID to (offset of "&id=" in thisWishPage) + 4

Is there some problem with the offset function? I note that thisWishPage contains many, many lines of text. Perhaps too much text?
