Right, but that assumes there is no change of color within a line -- if there is, your script will do the wrong thing. If you ask for the color of a line or word or paragraph, you get back the color of the first character of that line, word or paragraph.

If you know that all the characters of a text frame are all the same color, it's quicker still to set the fill color of the _text range_ of the text frame (or story).
