Setting permission from an applescript

Hello everyone,

I have PDF Services Applescript that I am having some difficulty with.

You have to save a script as an Application in order for it to work from the
PDF services folder. I can do this just fine.

I want to install this script from a FileMaker database. I can easily store
the compiled Applescript in a FM7 Container field. But when I export the
app to the PDF Services folder it no longer works. I have to open it in
ScriptEditor and re-save it as a compiled App.

So I surmised that my little Applescript App is loosing what ever it is that
makes it an App when it is stored in an FM7 container field. I guessed
"permissions" and that turns out to be it.

After being exported from an FM7 container field the App no longer has
"execute" privileges.

So does anyone have an Applescript that can set execute privs on a file?

Thanks

Todd
