Hello,
I am running several AppleScripts to create bar, pie, and table charts from a FileMaker Database that gets its data from an MSSQL database using an Actual Technologies ODBC/SQL plugin — am currently running OS X 10.3.9 on a new Mac Mini with FileMaker 6.0v1. For some reason it won't take the 6.0v4 update, but that's an issue for another day (possibly related, but I experienced this problem running 6.0v4 also, so I attempted to reinstall FM 6, and the 6.0v4 update wouldn't take after doing so!).
Here's the problem...I have been using an ODBC/SQL product from 'Actual Technologies http://www.actualtechnologies.com/product_sqlserver.php ' for about 6 months now. I haven't had a single problem, until upgrading the office computer to a Mac Mini (came with 10.3.9 installed). Everything seems to work fine. MSSQL connection is fine. The problem is, the 'SQL Query Builder for "database name"' window keeps popping up every time I run my script containing the SQL queries...as if the SQL queries aren't saving like they should. This is indeed very odd. This never happened on the other machine. On the other machine, when the scripts called the SQL query, everything went off without a hitch or a dialog box.
If there's any pertinent information I've left out, please let me know. Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions you can offer.
Dana Hill
