OSX (Classic - QXP 4.1 bug?)

Hi, not sure if this will help anyone at anytime... but l've been trying to find out why my OSX script that imports text files into QXP4.1 was crashing QXP and Classic without any error messages - but worked fine from time to time....

Well after a day of looking into my code for bugs - writing another 'this time 0S9' app that would run in classic mode on QXP4.1 also... and this just did the same thing....

l worked out its something to do with the file names l was trying to place with a alias call into QXP..

Don't ask me why but when trying to script files to import using 'Classic QXP' you can only have file names that are under 22 characters??? I didn't even think this would be a problem as OS9 has a limit of 31 characters.. it works fine if you place them by hand - but doesn't if you script it...

Anyway - just something to remember if you have to still script a Classic app when your in OSX ;-)

Gary.
