Also, when the Window view is List, Cut (Command-X) Clears the selected part of
the file name but does not make the Copy part; so when you want to move a part
of the file name you're in trouble because you clear a part and paste the one
you had before in the Clipboard.
Did I told you lately that - IMHO - Tiger is the worst OS I ever saw from Apple ?

PS: If the same window view is by Icons (standard), the behavior described above
is not true; the Finder works as expected.
Maybe MacTell OS will work better (in 2012)...

The undo command no longer seems available when manually editing
names in Finder. Just checking - is this old news?
I've been having problems where Finder's filenames are uneditable, both in
the Finder window and in the infowindow. Restarting the Finder application
fixes it for a while.
Additionally, I'm sometimes unable to paste a filename into Finder. It's
possible Finder does not (yet) recognize styled or propertied text when
pasted, since this is a new Tiger clipboard feature.
