Well, we rarely hear about vote fraud here, and recounts are relatively simple.


You take the physical pieces of paper, and count them.

And amazingly, in a country of 35 million people, our national election results are tallied within 3 or 4 hours of the polls closing.

I confess, I don't understand how there is *any* advantage to any sort of automated vote process.

Yes, and any registered voter can go to the polling station and watch the initial vote count. Radical, eh?
