Ah.  Thanks for the correction.
 

The answer to your question depends largely on whether or not you
know enough C and Mac OS API to accomplish whatever it is you have in
mind.

I know way more C than I'm really happy about having had to learn.  But I've always coded against the UNIX API, or a POSIX-based facsimile thereof.  Mac OS API experience have I none.


You might need to do some reading on the Apple Event
Manager < http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Carbon/Reference/
Apple_Event_Manager/index.html> to figure out how to deal with event
parameters and return values.
