Sorry, Matt. But there is a pretty simple means.

Save your script as an application, then write your link like:

<a href="file://some/path/to/my/script.app">Run the Scipt</a>

Alternatively, with more robust handling of run parameters, there was a tool
for OS9 called "Missing Link" ... but I won't get started on that again.
