Hi Tor,

Are you willing to share your script to make ics files? I've played with
this a bit: it could be very useful in turning events like conference
schedules etc into importable calendar items.

But I didn't get very far (based on trying to edit an existing ics - I
always seemed to make it inconsistent and unwilling to import) A working
example would be just great.

The event has to have a zone, I think, but you want to set the zone to
"floating".

As calendars are not part of the standard, I can't see a way around this
WITHIN the .ics. But maybe iCal can be told to accept the import into the
currently selected calendar? Worst case the dialog could be scripted, I
suppose. But that would suck.

File a bug report with apple on iCal, asking for an import script verb, with
"calendar" as a parameter (with asking the default if no calendar (buy name
or index) is given as an option).

Tell us the bug # and we can also add more requests.

Tim
