  • Thread-topic: find and replace question mark in Quark 6.5

Dana,
I think it may have to do with the fact that I am using Xcatalog xtension. This may be using the characters I am replacing as hidden text tags? If I use the reguar find/change dialog box, it works fine. Scripting the replace is what is driving me nutz. I found that a *temporary* solution is using "set every character" instead and just replacing the euro symbol in the database that I am importing from to the ^ symbol. Since ^ does not appear anywhere else, I can safely (I think) replace it everywhere.
I  am starting to hate quark more every day...
Hi Alex,

I am unable to duplicate. Can you be more specific?

I successfully ran the following to replace all question marks with blahteeblah.

set every text where it is "?" to "blahteeblah"
