Hiya,
I don't see any standard scripting options
for loading print styles into XPress (found under the Edit menu) so I'm
trying to attack it via System Events UI.
I have a Print Styles file on our Server
that can be imported and I can get the UI scripting to get as far as the
OS navigation window (wanting me to locate the file) but I'm very nervous
about using UI scripting to locate it.
Is there a System Events command that
I can use to have the navigation window directly locate the file, knowing
where it is?
Ta,
Cojcolds
ps. recently I read a post on this list
about Quark's issue with using System Events to access the Print window
via the menu item "Print" in the File menu. I tested that script
and sure enough XPress unexpectedly quit. Today I tested accessing the
print menu via keystroke "p"
using {command down} and to my surprise
the print dialog came up. I have since UI scripted to choose a Print style
without issue. However, I can't get the "Printer..." button to
work. The click command makes the button flash blue but the "Print"
window doesn't show up. For now I've had to include a say command that
requests the user presses the button.
Anyway, thought I'd include this for
those who are scripting for XPress. _______________________________________________
