Well, having started out years ago with a borrowed copy Danny's
Hypercard book, owning his 2nd edition AppleScript book, and last year
purchasing a eMac, joining this e-mail group and purchasing Matt
Neuburg's AppleScript book, I just had to go back and re-read the
e-mails of this thread about Danny's 3rd edition AppleScript e-book.
And today I learn something I did not know from chapter one of the free
demo download: How to have your scripts for application Who-its appear
in the script menu only when application Who-its is frontmost. Cool!
:-)

If the full book cost $50 or something, I'd tend to agree -- but for a
$15 book? If it's half as good as its previous incarnation, it's a
steal, IMO.
Actually, since the "book" only cost $15, I went a head a purchased it.

Sorry to revive this dead thread, but apparently Danny Goodman's book
has been updated in a 3rd edition for OS X (as an e-book - see
<http://www.spiderworks.com/>). No idea what it's like, and surprised
to see it back. Will have to check out the sample chapter.
