styled text from script editor to fmp

  • Subject: styled text from script editor to fmp

At the moment I am using systemevents to copy the text then getting
filemaker to paste it in place. This was the only way I could figure to
get styled text in the cell, but this doesn't always work. Is there a
way of using...
set text of document to the clipboard as ...
and then setting the cell in fmp to the clipboard???
or even setting the styled text to a variable??? (that would be better)

I have tried as unicode, as styled, as string, (and some routine by
Arthur Knapp?) but it always comes in with return characters, no tabbing or
coloring.
I am sure there is an easier method, thanks.
Brendan
