Date handlers

  • Subject: Date handlers

G'day all,

Does anybody have handlers (or script objects) for handling dates that are available publicly or they are happy to make public. What I want to be able to do is to compare a date of this form:

"2004:01:21 13:55:29"

With the date that comes out of a GPS unit, though of course each GPS unit probably represents the date differently. So I at least need an equals to and a less than handler.

What I want to be able to do is to set the GPS exif information in jpeg/TIFF files by comparing the exif capture date with the date returned from the GPS unit, find the location at that time and use that information to set the GPS information in the exif information.

Do any of you have GPS units, unfortunately I don't have one - if you do is it possible you could contact me so that I could get some example output. I will probably need this for most of the common GPS units.

I seem to have almost no time at the moment, so anything that can save me a few hours work is really appreciated.

Kevin
