You're welcome.

In your script it avoids that the selected boxes are treated
as a group (where every member belongs to the left-most page).

In my scripts there are two other reasons for setting the selection
to null. In both cases it helps to speed up execution.
- When creating boxes, based on a selected one, the script stores
  a reference to the selected box. Then it sets the selection
  to null but can always refer to the  first box.
- When "talking" to objects, QXP 6.x selects them as well.
