If you don't have BBEdit, TextWrangler 2.0 is free, and while it doesn't
have all the BBEdit tricks, it has enough to make stripping HTML tags rather
simple via AppleScript. I talked to some folks there about distributing TW
with scripts, and they said within a LAN, party on, outside of of a
corporate LAN, just have them download it from BareBones.

TW lets you do what AppleScript is truly excellent at...using other
applications to do all the heavy lifting.
