I'm sure one app had scriptability added soon after it's initial release. I think Steve Jobs said it was the same team that made Keynote also made Pages. Apple keeps insisting that it's easy adding scriptability to cocoa apps. But certainly if we want Pages scriptable, we can always put in for a feature request in the bug reporter.
