Go to International Preferences/Input Menu. Check Character Palette and Show
Input menu in menu bar.
I n any app that does Unicode (including TextEdit) select Show Character
Palette from Input menu (flag). Select Unicode in View popup, and Unicode
Table tab. Scroll to code points 2640 and/or 2642. Select whichever. My
installation (I installed all fonts) shows no fewer than 42 fonts which
display the symbols. You could pick an appropriate one if you wished. Click
Insert button to insert the character in your Unicode document.
There's no "related" character displayed for the female symbol that looks
like the "virgin" character you're describing. On the other hand, take a
look at at MERCURY : a female symbol with a "u" shape at top? Close enough?
It's hex 263F in the Unicode Table, and right before to the FEMALE SIGN in
Miscellaneous Symbols if you look in Unicode Blocks tab rather than Unicode
Table tab.)

Emmanuel showed how to do that in Smile. You could do hex 263F too: that's
9791 in decimal.
