You need to provide more detail. What exactly is the field you are using for
comparison?

If you have created your own auto-enter, auto-increment RecordID field, this
is completely different from Filemaker's internal record ID. Applescript is
returning the "internal" record ID for the record.

If you create an auto-enter field that is get(RecordID) that should be the
same as Filemaker's internal recordID and should match the value returned by
applelscript.
