certainly do), than it's up to us to ask for it. We can file a feature

I would, really I would. But unfortunately the ADC has always been atrociously user-unfriendly, nonstandardized and support-challenged.

For example, I tried logging in just now several times. I reset my password
and still no login. This problem has continued for several years without
improvement.

Which is why I've given up on ADC.

I've had that too. I emailed ADC & they fixed it. I would ask you to try that.

The general point is that if we want scriptable apps, we have to ask for them. There's no point complaining about it on this or any other list. We have to ask for it through the established communication channels. I also think there's no value in thinking "oh, Mark Butcher's put in a feature request, therefore I don't need to bother". Apple aren't likely to pay much attention to one persons feature request. But if Apple gets flooded with requests for scriptable apps, then they may be whipped into a frenzy of apathy and do something.
