Dor,
I invite you to take a look at a little application that I publish
called Script Timer. It provides a user friendly way to do the
scheduling part of the things you want to do - no need to know
anything about the Unix layer.
As for the playing of certain songs at certain times, Script Timer
comes with a script called Track Timer that you can use to control
iTunes. You schedule Track Timer with Script Timer, supplying the
play list and tracks you want played to Track Timer through Script
Timer's parameters field.
You can learn more about Script Timer (and download it) from
http://www.appsandmore.com.
Regards,
Don

I want to use AS in ical to do two things 1. automatically play certain
songs at certain times and 2. Send instant messages at certain times. I
tried looking at the Asstudio dictionary but couldn't find the commands to
doing these things. Can someone tell me how to do these things or better yet
instead of giving me a fish teach me how to fish. If someone out there has a
good explanation for me on how to use that dictionary to learn all the
available AS commands for every individual application. Thank you.
