Mount volume fails after update to Tiger Server

  • Subject: Mount volume fails after update to Tiger Server

The following code worked perfectly prior to our move to Tiger Server:

tell application "System Events"
mount volume "Archive" on server "Fileserver" as user name "Name" with password "password"
end tell

It runs fine on my Mac (10.4.1 and now 10.4.2) but fails on one running 10.3.9 and one running 10.3.6 with the error:

"Finder got an error: Network file permission error."

Has anyone seen this? Any solution beyond upgrading the workstations to Tiger (which is planned, but it would be nice to have an interim fix).

TIA.
