Well, there *is* stuff for Perl.  The whole Mac:: namespace is about
that in the CPAN.  In particular, Mac::Glue, Mac::AppleScript,
Mac::AppleEvents, and Mac::OSA.  You can replace Applescript with Perl
entirely, although the interface is clumsy and (IMHO) underdocumented.

Meta issue: Please don't say "Not for Perl" unless you know for sure
that nothing exists for Perl.  Generally "Perl has X" is more likely
than "Perl doesn't have anything like X". :)
