Right - it's the inconsistency that's the maddening part. It would almost be
better if AppleScript would just say, "There's no way provided to get the
pathname of the currently running script file. If the host application gives
you one, fine; otherwise you're out of luck." But the inconsistency
essentially makes the feature worse than useless. Imagine a computer
language that defines an operator "+" that sometimes adds numbers, but
sometimes divides them, and you've no idea when it will do which. m.
