Nigel's solution is the one I'm currently using and it's working well.
The limitation is that I have to break the applescript into two pieces
so I can put the "perform find" fmp step in the middle.

Does that mean that missing out the last "Find" command in the
AppleScript,
and adding "Perform Find" as a ScriptMaker step directly after it
instead,
doesn't work for you, or are you after a completely AppleScript
solution?
