I think that it's a bit more serious than that - I can't script any version
of PS at the moment. I can open the dictionaries OK, but all my scripts show
raw AppleEvent codes :-(

Time for a bit of housekeeping, or maybe a new Powerbook as the trackpad
button is also knackered from overuse. It requires pressing with my fist to
get it to register a click! I have resorted to pad tapping, but it's a PITA.

I did have a go at bodging, but it only fixed the problem for a day or so:
