Both great fun but you need to get your obj-c books out if you want to
script Core Image :-(
iMagine Photo is a lot like Image Events but with a lot more
functionality, and it can do both blurring and sharpening. It is also
free. By default it runs as a normal application that appears in the
dock but it has an applescript command so that you can configure to run
as a background only application so that like Image Events it is hidden
from the user. It has no user interface functionality.
