Is there a way using Applescript to:
1) Test to see if Classic is running
2) Start Classic up (and wait until it is up)
3) Shut Classic down
The reason I ask is I have a series of scripts which make use of a
program that
I found years ago that flips line-ending type from Mac to PC and
from PC to Mac.
(The program is DOS2MAC 2.1, a great little postcard-ware program).
I send a lot of text files to a mainframe computer and need the
line-endings
in PC format.
However, I have been having issues with Classic when it remains up
over long
periods of time. (Corrupt files, etc.).
Thus, I would like to start Classic at the beginning of this
process, finish the scripts
and then shut Classic down until the next needed use.
Any thoughts?
