redirect takes a boolean for invisibility; you could try setting that, in case the script doesn't like talking to an invisible message.

Yeah, I've tried both ways. I do recall that with my previous (working!) script in Panther that I *was* using the redirect command, and I know that the visibility was false (the default).


I'm sure everyone's suffered this problem at some time: I had it working back then, and can't for the life of me remember how I did it! Needless to say, I've modified my backup routines to include my Scripts folders...
