 Hi,

I can't get the version with Tiger.

tell application "Finder" to set x to long version
tell application "Finder" to set x to short version
tell application "Finder" to set x to system version
 set x to system version

 All produce errors.

What I'm looking for is a way to tell if the System is Tiger.

Any cure?

tell application "Finder" to set x to version --> returns Finder version NOT OS version; but still 10.3.x or 10.4.x

HTH

Jake

Thanks to Jake Pietrykowski <email@hidden>, has <email@hidden> and Rob Jorgensen <email@hidden> for the work arounds.

Has anyone reported the apparent bugs?
