Hi.. First off, thanks to Paul & Michelle for their help with the .#0
to .wav help...
As I mentioned before, I ran an audio format batch conversion program
and it has caused me many problems...
My next issue I am facing is this:
Basically, the original audio format contained audio samples which were
shared by various instrument files... This batch conversion utility
apparently duplicated each shared sample, so a library that should take
up 50gb of space is taking up about 155gb...
So, I have a folder which contains many subdirectories which contain
these samples... And now I am wondering if it is at all possible to
have applescript search for files within these subdirectories and mark
one as an original, and replace all similarily named samples and replace
them with a symbolic link pointing to the original... I think this
probably seems insane and way too difficult to code, but I thought it
might be worth asking about.
Mind you, the library (without duplicated samples) accounts to about
109,000 files... So I can only assume I have 300k-400k files now.
thanks in advance.
