Just me being extra clear: You could say you have a MacRoman character and leave it at that. If it's necessary to point out that the character isn't also an ASCII character then you might say you have a "non-ASCII MacRoman" character, or perhaps even a "high MacRoman" character.


Or you could skip all the implementation details and just say what the character is, e.g., "π" or "pi".
