Is there any way to save a message's attachment(s) to a programmatically specified folder for further processing via AppleScript?

What I'd like to do is attach a script to a rule, whereby the script saves the attachment (a PDF) and then prints the saved attachment.

Is this possible at all?

I'm open to GUI, shell script, whatever it takes.
