Title: Re: Any suggestions for scheduling one off jobs?
Malcolm,

Please take a look at a shareware scheduling application that I publish called Script Timer. You could easily schedule your applescript with it. Using its dynamic scheduling feature, you could arrange for a new transfer to be automatically scheduled if the first one failed for some reason. (If you can detect that a transfer didn't complete correctly, you can tell the Script Timer scheduling engine to reschedule the transfer immediately or at some later time.)

You can find Script Timer at the major shareware sites, or from the URL in my sig below.

Regards,

Don

I have things that I want to schedule for the night time. They are file
transfers which will be run by cURL. They'll only need to be run once,
unless they fail. Presently I pass I am sending an URL to an
applescript, which figures out how long it has to wait until 2am, and
delays for that length of time before sending the whole thing off to
the shell. Is there a better way?
