Anyone have any basic strategies for dialog box suppression - i.e. a
dialog box that comes up and you have to click ok to get it to go
away. In OS 9 there used to be a great little extension called
OkeyDokeyPro which fit the bill perfectly. Not aware of anything
like it for OS X.
The box in question is caused by Quark and is nothing more than a
warning (missing Xtension) I could do without (if only Quark had put
something like "never interact" in the dictionary like some Adobe apps).
Strangely, the dialog box appears to be non-application specific if
Quark is run in the background - the dialogs show even when Quark
quits, however occasionally the box will become Quark specific and
require a click ok and pauses the script until it gets it.
I'll take strategy for suppressing dialog boxes in the Finder, kernel
hacks, anything you can think of.
Thanks,
Dave
