In Script Debugger, there's no error, and opening Apple Event Log display the following, which appears to indicate that 'stop log', while not erroring, doesn't do anything. "B" gets logged just like "A" and "C":

Well, it does something, actually something quite useful. It stops the low-level chatter between (*B*) and (*C*), which is nice. This was the way Script Editor 1.8.3 (Classic) worked when you un-checked the Show Events checkbox. Script Editor 2.0 logs either both or nothing, which is annoying.

I am hoping that someone will discover a conjure that'll have the function of stop log, so we can have only our log commands in the event log, again.

Thanks for the comment, Paul. It's nice to know that I could get what I want by switching to Script Debugger.
