Trying to track down error that only happens with new Dual G5's. I have a Filemaker Pro 6 DB that is running on a dual 2.5 G5. I have a second identical G5 logged in to the FMP DB from a second G5 via Filemaker. There are numerous buttons that have some Applescripts behind them that has Filemaker controling images via links but also instructs Photoshop via Applescript to perform some functions.
I get errors at the client saying it has communications error with the host. The error is coming from Filemaker (-3259 I think). Happens sporatically when pressing the buttons in the Filemaker window. We've tried adding delays but error keeps coming back. Never happens on a G4. Not sure if an Applescript problem, Apple hardware issue (early G5's rumored to have buggy ethernet cards). I thought maybe it was that the G5 processor is too fast and Applescript isn't waiting for Filemaker to respond or breaking the link.
Have to restart Filemaker and relog on the client before it will work.
